First, a few things
Does PathWise book my trip?
No. PathWise plans, you book. You do get advice on where and when to book each part, with indicative prices. The booking itself you make with the provider.
What does it actually cost?
Per item, not per month. All amounts are on the pricing page, linked at the bottom of every page. Because you top up in advance, you can never spend more than you've set aside yourself: there's no card attached that can keep running.
Does On the road cost extra?
Yes. You unlock On the road per trip, separately from the plan itself. The travel companion, which answers your questions while you're away, is a separate unlock. What it costs is on the pricing page.
How long before my plan is ready?
Usually six to eight minutes, whether you're away for a weekend or a fortnight. For a month-long trip it runs to ten or twelve. Most of that time is searching the web for current opening hours, prices and travel times. You can leave the screen open and watch the days appear, or close it: you'll get a message as soon as it's done.
What if the plan isn't right?
Then you adjust it until it is right, and only then do you have it worked out. So you never pay for a trip you don't stand behind.
Can I still change the plan once it's ready?
Yes. You drag blocks to another time or another day, have an activity swapped for an alternative, have a whole day proposed afresh, or ask for a change in plain language. Dragging is always free; of the other edits the first few are free and a next one costs a small amount.
I don't know where to go yet. Can I still start?
Yes. Choose 'surprise me' instead of a destination. You say when you can travel, what you want to spend and what you're in the mood for, and PathWise picks the destination too.
Is the information still accurate?
While working out your plan, PathWise searches the live web for current prices, opening hours and journey times. That's more accurate than a model working from memory alone, but it stays a snapshot: always check opening hours yourself just before you leave.
Can I work on one trip together with others?
Yes. You invite your travel companions with a link. They see the same plan, can think along, and on the road you track spending together, including who still owes whom.
